What we do:

The we are handmade fairs have been running for 12 years in various Essex and Suffolk locations. We have also organised a we are handmade section at Old Spitalfields Market and worked with other businesses such as Greenwoods Hotel & Spa, Stock and The Warren Golf & Country Club, Woodham Walter.

Our fairs offer a wide range of original, high quality crafts and we are often also joined by  artists and photographers who sell at our events.

We are lucky to have many highly talented and creative makers who sell at our fairs. Some stallholders take commissions and so there is also scope to have a bespoke piece created either for yourself or as a gift.

We are very excited to be launching our on-line we are handmade shop, so on this site you can now browse and buy a selection of handmade crafts. We are constantly adding new stock. You will find work produced by some of the makers who attend our fairs is also available to buy through this website.

Who we are:

we are handmade is run by Dee Shadforth.

Dee has over 20 years experience of organising and promoting events which have ranged from fundraising, entertainment and PR events; including large-scale concerts at major UK venues, VIP receptions and exhibitions to music evenings, fairs, rehearsals and workshops.

Over the years Dee has also helped manage a U.K wide music charity and arts venue and held various retail positions including working with designers to manage and market their fine-bone china business.

Dee has a degree in Media and Cultural Studies and a diploma in Events Management.
